How Verification Works

Schedules change. Here’s where ASE gets game information, how we check it, and what to look at before heading out.

Where information comes from

ASE uses schedules from schools, teams, leagues, and organizers when available. The source link on an event takes you to the schedule so you can check the latest details yourself.

Being on the calendar doesn’t mean every detail has been verified. Look for where the information came from and when it was last checked.

What the freshness labels mean

  • Checked: ASE checked the online schedule. Some schedules can be checked regularly for changes.
  • Schedule uploaded: ASE received a schedule file. It shows what the schedule said when it was uploaded; later changes may not be included.
  • Administrator-confirmed: an ASE administrator confirmed the information. That doesn’t mean the event organizer personally confirmed it.

The check time tells you when ASE last looked. A schedule can still change after that.

Changes and uncertainty

When a schedule shows a cancellation, postponement, new time, or new venue, ASE can flag that change. If a schedule hasn’t been checked recently or a check fails, that doesn’t mean the game is canceled.

If we don’t know a detail, we leave it unknown. Notes from fans can help us spot a problem, but they don’t automatically change the listing or count as verification.

Check the official source before heading out, especially if travel, tickets, or spectator access matter to your plans.
